Bobby Eugene Simpson, a 62-year-old African American man, was found dead on June 9, 2021, in Salisbury, North Carolina. His death was ruled a homicide, and he was discovered in a house on Grace Street that he was reportedly squatting in. The house was otherwise abandoned, and the circumstances surrounding his death led to an ongoing investigation by the Salisbury Police Department.
