Andre Vereen, a 43-year-old African American male from Lumberton, NC, died on September 29, 2020, following a head-on collision on Martin Luther King Drive near Starlite Drive. The collision involved a Ford van driven by Christopher Clark and a Ford Focus driven by Vereen. The accident occurred when Vereen's vehicle crossed the center line and struck the van head-on. Clark was not injured in the crash, but Vereen was found unresponsive and was transported to Southeastern Regional Medical Center, ...
