Ruben Contreras, a 16-year-old male, was tragically shot and killed on November 7, 2020, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Contreras, who was a mentee in the Heal Charlotte program, was found fatally shot at the Orchard Trace Condominiums near North Tryon Street. His death has deeply impacted the community, especially the young kids in the neighborhood who looked up to him.
