Trevon Quantavius Fields, a 23-year-old African American male from Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on January 18, 2021. The Halifax County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with Roanoke Rapids officers,
swiftly began investigating the case. Four men were arrested and charged with the murder of Trevon Quantavius Fields. The suspects, all from North Carolina, were identified as Ralik Robinson, 22, Trevathann Myquan Shearin, 20, Shantron Avondre Person, 20, all of Roanoke Rapids, and Deluntae Jaequon Squire, 23, of Halifax. These individuals were taken into custody and placed in the Halifax County Detention Center, with a court date set for January 20, 2021.
