Hubert Alexander Rivers, a 28-year-old African American man from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, tragically died on January 23, 2021. He was involved in an argument with his girlfriend, Quensheta Chyann Jackson, at Ocean King Sweepstakes on Monmouth Street. The argument began over a small amount of money, $5, and escalated quickly.
