Walter Devon Pouncy, a 38-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death outside a Speedway gas station in High Point, North Carolina, on July 3, 2021. The incident occurred shortly after midnight when High Point Police Department officers responded to a shots fired call at the location. Upon arrival, they found Pouncy unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by officers and EMS to save him, Pouncy was pronounced dead at the scene.
