Edward Leon High, a 40-year-old male of African American ethnicity from Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on August 1, 2021. He was fatally shot in a double shooting incident on Burton Street in Roanoke Rapids. High was pronounced dead at the scene, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Another man was also found with a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital, though his condition was not immediately disclosed.
