Damon Dash Harris, a 30-year-old African American male, was found dead inside his home in Eastwood, North Carolina, on August 19, 2021. The Moore County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene shortly after 11 p.m. when deputies were called to assist EMS on Pine Hill Road in the West End/Eastwood area. The initial press release from the sheriff's department did not provide information regarding a suspect, as the investigation was still active at the time.
