Ryan Simmons, a 35-year-old male from Fayetteville, was apprehended in Hoke County following a joint operation between the Moore County Sheriff's Office and the Hoke County Sheriff's Office. Simmons was charged with one count of first-degree murder and was committed to the Moore County Detention Center without bond pending a first court appearance in Moore County District Court on October 26, 2022.
