Nykeim Zantwan Thompson, a 21-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 23, 2021, in Burlington, North Carolina. He was found with a gunshot wound inside an apartment on Lunsford Drive. The Burlington Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 5:45 a.m. and discovered Thompson deceased from the apparent gunshot wound.
