Marquez was shot twice in the face, and his cousin, 16-year-old Konye Melvin, was shot three times.
Another victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The attack also injured Marquez's half-brother, 19-year-old Maurice Melvin Jr., who survived and is currently recovering in the hospital. The family believes that the same person who killed Nicoda Melvin, Marquez's sister, three days earlier, might be responsible for Marquez and Konye's deaths. Nicoda was shot in the head by her boyfriend, Travis Edward Jefferson, who has been charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.
