Omar Hardin, an 18-year-old African American male from Gastonia, NC, tragically lost his life on September 2, 2022, in a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. on North King Street, where Omar and two other individuals, a 19-year-old male and a 27-year-old male, were shot outside a home. Omar was transported to the hospital by ambulance but succumbed to his injuries early the next morning.
