Erin Gibbs, a 38-year-old white female from Elizabeth City, North Carolina, was tragically shot and killed on September 23, 2022. The incident occurred near the 500 block of West Grice Street. Police officers responded to a call around 7:20 p.m. regarding a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, they found Erin Gibbs suffering from gunshot wounds. She was initially transported to Sentara Albemarle Medical Center and later airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
