Jamari Jones, an 18-year-old African American male from New Bern, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on October 8, 2022. The incident occurred in the 600 block of First Avenue in New Bern, where Jamari was found with a gunshot wound just after 5 p.m. He was initially taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center and later flown to ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, where he succumbed to his injuries.
