John Lavar Shaw, a 37-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on the night of November 7, 2022, in Laurinburg, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. in the front yard of a home located in the 500 block of Wagram Street. Police responded to reports of shots being fired in the area and discovered Shaw's body upon arrival. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
