Patrol Officer Gary M. Wayman, aged 30, of the Bossier City Police Department in Louisiana, tragically lost his life on October 14, 1985. Officer Wayman was accidentally shot and killed by another officer during a routine traffic stop. The incident occurred when Officer Wayman approached a vehicle and was inadvertently shot by his colleague. He had served with the agency for just over three years and was survived by his child.
