Tommy Clark Gentry, a young man in his early twenties, was tragically shot and killed on the night of May 6, 2006, in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. Gentry, who was African American, was involved in a physical altercation at a nightclub in the 200 block of Bourbon Street. After leaving the club, he was shot multiple times by an individual who had been harassing two women inside the club.
