In the late spring of 2010, the life of Donald Royce Daniels was tragically cut short on the streets of New Orleans, Louisiana. A 25-year-old African American male, he was known to many by his nickname, 'Dizzi.' On Thursday, May 27, 2010, Daniels was fatally wounded by gunfire in the Desire neighborhood, a victim of the city's ongoing struggle with gun violence.
