On August 24, 2013, Alvin James Alexis, a 63-year-old African American male, was found shot to death in Avondale, Louisiana. He was discovered sitting in his car, having suffered fatal gunshot wounds. Alvin was a native of New Orleans and resided in Gretna, Louisiana. He was the beloved son of Louis Alexis Sr. and the late Lillian Alexis.
