In the early morning hours of September 5, 2017, the community of Avondale, Louisiana, was rocked by a violent crime that claimed the life of William Charles Thomas. The 39-year-old male was discovered in the backyard of a residence on Church Street, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities were called to the scene at approximately 8:00 a.m., where Thomas was pronounced deceased.
