In the quiet town of Thibodaux, Louisiana, the night of September 25, 2013, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When police responded to reports of shots fired in the 100 block of Iris Street just before 10 p.m., they discovered a grim scene. Inside a car were the bodies of two young men, both of whom had been fatally shot. The victims were identified as 19-year-old Tre Scott and 26-year-old Jordy Williams, both residents of Thibodaux.
