Jacob Middleton Sr., a 35-year-old male from Covington, Louisiana, was found dead on January 6, 2014. He was discovered alongside his 2-year-old daughter, Makayla Middleton, in their home in a Covington area subdivision. Both victims had been shot in the head while they were sleeping on an air mattress. The tragic discovery was made by Makayla's mother, Kellie Bravo, who drove to Jacob Sr.'s home after he failed to show up at work and did not drop Makayla off at her mother's home as planned.
