Jyrion Dangerfield, a 20-year-old African American male, was found dead in his car in Covington, Louisiana, on July 24, 2022. The Covington Police Department discovered his decomposed body during a routine patrol near the Covington Recreation Department on De Porres Road. The St. Tammany Parish Coroner's Office confirmed that Dangerfield died from a single gunshot wound to the chest, and his death was ruled a homicide.
