Dewona Wright Green, a 40-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on April 17, 2014, in Gonzales, Louisiana. Dewona was a resident of Gonzales and a native of Baton Rouge. Her death was a result of a violent incident that also claimed the life of her 12-year-old son, Ronald Green Jr. The perpetrator of this heinous crime was her husband, Ronald Green Sr., who fatally shot both Dewona and their son in their home.
