Barry Joseph Blackwell, a 29-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 27, 2015, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Barry was born on March 1, 1985, and was a graduate of Sarah T. Reed High School. He attended Southern University New Orleans and was known for his involvement in the community and his dedication to his family. Barry's untimely death left a void in the lives of his loved ones, including his son Jacob Ryan Blackwell and his fiancée Lauren Franklin.
