On a Sunday evening in New Orleans, May 27, 2018, the life of Diamond Jackson, a 27-year-old African American male, was tragically cut short. The New Orleans Police Department responded to a call in the Algiers neighborhood, on the 3000 block of Copernicus Street. There, they discovered Jackson inside a Nissan Maxima, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
