In the early morning hours of July 31, 2015, Wesley Keith Nelson, a 53-year-old Black male, was found shot to death in the 7800 block of Venice Boulevard in New Orleans East. The discovery was made at approximately 1:23 a.m., leaving a community unsettled and a family searching for answers.

Following the initial investigation, the New Orleans Police Department identified a suspect in the fatal shooting. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Ronald Claude in connection with Nelson's murde ...
