Cornelius Bentley III, a 28-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on September 5, 2015, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was found inside a hotel room on Chef Menteur Highway with multiple gunshot wounds to his body and died at the scene. The incident began when officers were called to investigate a shooting at the motel.
