Joseph Cormier, a 43-year-old male of unspecified ethnicity, tragically lost his life on December 15, 2015, in Independence, Louisiana. Cormier was one of three victims in a devastating murder-suicide incident that occurred at Angie's Bar in Independence. The incident unfolded when Thomas Ransom, a 35-year-old man, walked into the bar and opened fire, killing his estranged wife, April Ransom, 38, and Cormier before taking his own life.
