Roshawn Smith, a 24-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on February 1, 2016, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Smith was a deacon and a father of three. On the night of his death, he was robbed and shot multiple times just before midnight at the corner of St. Bernard Avenue and Republic Street. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Smith succumbed to his injuries and passed away shortly after.
