In the spring of 2016, a domestic dispute in Sulphur, Louisiana, escalated into a tragic murder-suicide, leaving a community in shock and a young child without her parents. Brandi McAdams, a 33-year-old female, was shot and killed by her estranged husband, Cody A. McAdams, on April 28, 2016. The violent encounter unfolded in the community of Carlyss, south of Sulphur.
