In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a domestic argument escalated to a fatal conclusion, ending the life of 27-year-old Christopher Payne. On September 11, 2016, what began as a disagreement between Payne and his girlfriend, Larriana Hughes, turned violent, leaving Payne with a mortal gunshot wound.
