In the midnight hour of November 21, 2016, the streets of New Orleans were shattered by the sound of multiple gunshots, leaving a young man's life tragically cut short. Kharen Chapman, a 30-year-old male, was discovered in the middle of the street, having sustained numerous gunshot wounds. The violence that claimed his life began in the 3200 block of Palmyra Street and concluded in the 300 block of South Jefferson Davis Parkway, where he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
