Shaft Francis, a 41-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on December 25, 2016, in Lake Arthur, Louisiana. The incident occurred during a family argument on Christmas Day. According to the Lake Arthur Police Department, officers were called to the scene in the 500 block of New Orleans Avenue around 5:58 p.m. after reports of a man being shot. Upon arrival, investigators found Shaft Francis with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
