In a tragic turn of events on Saturday, March 18, 2017, a young man's life was cut short in Mandeville, Louisiana. Vincent Alexander Cuccia, a 19-year-old male, was fatally shot following a dispute. A lifelong resident of Mandeville, he was a devoted father of two sons. His passions included music, cars, and spending time with his family.
The incident that led to Cuccia's untimely death stemmed from an argument with another teenager over a woman. The verbal altercation escalated, resulting in 19-year-old Jake Mills shooting Cuccia multiple times. Emergency services were called, and Cuccia was rushed to a nearby hospital, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
Following the shooting, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office launched an investigation. Their inquiries quickly led them to Jake Mills, who was identified as the shooter. Mills was subsequently arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail. He was charged with second-degree murder in connection with Vincent Cuccia's death.
