On June 22, 2023, just before 3:00 PM, Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies responded to reports of a shooting near the apartment complex at 7474 La Mancha Way in South Sacramento. Upon arrival, they discovered 29-year-old Kaelin "Demi" Cason unresponsive. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Cason was pronounced deceased at the scene.
