Jesse Singh Jandra, a 33-year-old man from Sacramento, California, was found dead on January 27, 2025, in what authorities have determined to be a murder-suicide. Deputies from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office responded to a welfare check at a residence on Sutterwoods Way after a friend of Jandra reported concerns when he failed to attend a scheduled golf meeting.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered Jandra and another adult male inside the home, both deceased from gunshot wounds.
Investigators at the scene recovered two expended shell casings near Jandra, who was found clutching a handgun under his body. Based on preliminary findings from the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, detectives concluded that Jandra was the perpetrator of the murder-suicide. However, the motive behind the tragic incident remains under investigation. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the second victim, pending notification of next of kin.
The deaths of Jandra and the unidentified male have left the local community in shock. Residents of the Rosemont neighborhood, where the incident occurred, described the area as typically quiet and safe. Longtime resident Andrew Gregory expressed disbelief upon learning about the crime, stating that such violence was highly unusual for the neighborhood. Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the case, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to determine what led to the fatal event.
