Zion Barthelemy, a 13-year-old African American boy, tragically lost his life on May 5, 2017, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Zion was a student at Greenbriar Elementary School and had previously attended Phoenix High School in Phoenix, LA. He was the son of Anita Barthelemy and Neal Harvey, and had a close-knit family, including his siblings Casimere Barthelemy and Michael McDonald. Zion's untimely death left a profound impact on his family, friends, and the community.
