Daz Alexis, a 19-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on November 18, 2017, in Marrero, Louisiana. The incident occurred when Brandon Cordell Martin, then 23 years old, shot Alexis in the head while they were sitting in Alexis' car. Martin, who resided in both Marrero and New Orleans, subsequently abandoned Alexis' body in a field near Johnny Jacobs Playground in the 6100 block of 4th Avenue in Marrero.
