Maurice Williams, a 29-year-old African American male from New Orleans, LA, tragically lost his life on February 13, 2018. He was fatally shot during an altercation on St. Charles Avenue, which occurred during the Mardi Gras parade. The incident began as a verbal altercation between Williams and Eddie Dingle, who was with his brother at the time. According to reports, the altercation escalated, and Dingle's brother continued to charge at Williams' tent, prompting Dingle to open fire.
