In the early morning hours of February 18, 2018, a dispute on North Broad Street in New Orleans escalated into a fatal encounter for Troy Wilson Jr., a 21-year-old African American male. The incident, which occurred around 2:10 a.m. in the 700 block of the street, reportedly began as a large brawl that culminated in gunfire.
