Carlos Ross Jr., a 19-year-old African American male from Lake Charles, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on July 7, 2018. The incident occurred late at night, around 11:18 PM, when officers from the Lake Charles Police Department responded to a shooting in the 4400 block of 5th Avenue. Carlos had been transported by private means to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital before the officers arrived.
