Johnny Thomas, 29, a Black male from Shreveport, Louisiana, was shot on the afternoon of September 24, 2018, in the city’s Agurs neighborhood. Police were called to a residence in the 1700 block of Pointe Coupee Drive just before 2:30 p.m., where Thomas had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and the shooter had already fled. Rushed to University Health Hospital, he fought for life only briefly before he succumbed to his injuries.
