Lorenzo Eugene, a 34-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on November 18, 2018, in Garyville, Louisiana. Eugene was shot multiple times in an ambush-style attack near his home on South Fig Street. The incident occurred just before 8 p.m., and community members reported hearing anywhere from seven to thirteen shots fired. According to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office, someone was waiting for Eugene to come out of his home before he was gunned down.
