In the early morning hours of a May day in Baton Rouge, the body of 47-year-old Robert Davis was discovered in the yard of a residence on Convention Street. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Initially, investigators had no leads, with no known motive or suspects in the immediate aftermath of the discovery.
