In the late spring of 2019, the life of 20-year-old Deshawn Shavanta Beaudion was tragically cut short in Natchitoches, Louisiana. On the evening of May 18th, gun violence erupted near Breada Town Park on Dixie Street, resulting in Beaudion's death. The incident left the community seeking answers and justice for the young man's untimely demise.
The subsequent investigation into the fatal shooting led to the identification of three suspects.
In connection with the crime that claimed Deshawn Beaudion's life, authorities arrested 19-year-old Kristopher Burks and 20-year-old Seankayln Chatman. A third suspect, 17-year-old Joseph Davis, later surrendered to the police. All three individuals faced serious charges for their alleged involvement in the incident.
The charges brought against Burks, Chatman, and Davis included one count of First Degree Murder and three counts of Attempted First Degree Murder. Following their arrests, they were transported to the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center to await bond proceedings as the investigation into the shooting continued.
