Mary Jane Casey, 68, a White woman, was found dead inside a home on Lucille Street in Lake Charles, Louisiana, after police were called in to check on her welfare. The concern came from a family member, and when officers arrived and went inside, they discovered a grim scene: Casey had suffered an apparent gunshot wound, and there was a second body in the home as well.

Investigators quickly identified the other deceased person as Chad Edwin Reeves. Both Casey and Reeves lived at the Lucil ...
