In the early morning hours of a July Saturday in 2019, the St. Claude neighborhood of New Orleans was shattered by violence. On a street corner, a man lay grievously wounded, having been shot multiple times. First responders rushed to the scene, providing aid and quickly transporting him to a nearby hospital in a desperate attempt to save his life.
