Darrell Stevenson, a 35-year-old African American male from Monroe, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on September 20, 2019. Stevenson was shot near Smith Funeral Home while attending the wake of his friend, Christopher Coleman, who had been killed just a week earlier. Stevenson's family described him as a loving father, a great son, and an avid basketball player who loved life and his children.
