In the winter of 2019, a burst of gunfire shattered the late afternoon quiet at a Baton Rouge apartment complex, leaving a 39-year-old man dead. Roy Banks was discovered on December 23rd at a residence on Dougherty Drive, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene, his life tragically cut short in an act of violence that prompted a homicide investigation by the Baton Rouge Police Department.
