On May 24, 2017, Brandon White, a 21-year-old African American man from Omaha, Nebraska, was fatally shot during a drug-related robbery. The incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. in north Omaha, where police officers found White with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
